[pct-l] Good News & Bad News

Hi gang,
The good news.....trouble is back in town.....just got back from another 
week of skiing  in the Sierra.
The bad news.......there are tons of snow in the Sierra.
Of course that is good news for ''ski bums'' like me but bad news for 
''hiker trash'' like you.
Perhaps a light weight hiker snow shovel would be advisable for the 
first wave of ''Through's'' reaching the Sierra so if they can't hike 
through it, they can shovel through it and make it easier for the slower 
and Sr. Citizen hikers  like Switchback and me to follow in their wake.
I think it its only fair that the stronger faster hikers give back to 
the trail and show their gratitude by shoveling the snow for those who 
have paved their way many years ago.
Snow shoveling hikers are not that uncommon.
When I climbed Mt. Shasta 10-15 years ago everybody had a snow shovel 
for the purpose of digging in, because tents not  pitched in a dug-out 
were prone to blow away....some say even with hikers in it.
It would, however, take a major hurricane to blow a tent away with 
Switchback in it.
