SLOWING DOWN to smell the roses? What speed is that exactly? Is it 1 mph? Or can you still smell the roses at 2 mph? Can you still smell them at 3 mph? I can guarantee that Tattoo Joe and Scott both love roses. In fact, Scott has been back to smell the roses of the PCT over 12 times! Have you been around these people to catch the excitement and love for the trail that they exude? It is just the opposite of what most people think. There is a reason why Scott and Joe and others stay on the PCT. The PCT has the best rose gardens and they love roses. They want to smell the roses over and over and over. They just can't decide if Oregon has the best roses, or Washington, or the cactus of Southern California. So they do the whole trail in the time that others do a few sections. They do, you know, have to work, but they do their best to smell the roses.

Squatch,Doing the math:2,650 miles divided by 66 days = approx 40 miles a day! :)
What is wrong with just slowing down and smelling the lupins? The Beeman
