[pct-l] JMT cell coverage

I and my 18 yo son will be thru-hiking the JMT SOBO starting 7/24 and
planning to finish 8/6. We want to be able to contact help/family if need
be. Will we be able at any point after leaving Happy Isles to make cell
phone calls (ATT is our service provider) or use Blackberry Messaging? If
not, does anyone have any recommendations on renting a satellite phone?
