[pct-l] Section k update for washington

As of July 3 the glacier peak section in Washington is passable but
very snowy. The Log on the original pct over the suiattle is in place.
We had a couple of cold mornings that slowed us down because the snow
iced over. The hot days are melting the snow, but much of the trail is
still covered. We didn't make it through ( turned back to trinity at
pumice creek) because we ran out of food but with extra time and food
for trail finding you should be fine. A gps would have been very
helpful for route finding an altimeter would have been good as well
for locating the proper elevation for data book points. We shipped
back our crampons after stehekin, which would have been extremely
helpful.Unsure of exact conditions between pumice creek and Steven's
pass, but the snow is melting fast, just give yourself some extra
time... In short, section k is much snowier than L. When you get
through to skykomish, be sure to look up the dinsmores, who are
fantastic trail angels. Best of luck for any southbounders!

Seems like Truth in Advertising should call for naming it "honey-flavored sugar" or similar.? The package doesn't say how much is cane sugar and how much is honey - could be as much as 49.9 % or as little as 0.1%.

There is a section of PCT that runs along that portion of Hwy 242, before it leaves the road to head north. That section of the trail is thus not accessible due to the roadwork. NOTE that due to the very rough nature of the large lava bed along both sides of the highway, there is no option of going cross-country and avoiding the road that way! So plan accordingly.
