Great topic Andy,

I told my boss last summer that I'd be quitting (people said I shouldn't give such a heads up but they were putting me on committees that had a 2 year committment and stuff) next year for the PCT hike. She came back with the resposne: If we give a leave of absence will you come back? My response: Hell yeah! (In this economy, I'm glad for the security).

The response from co-workers and upper management has been great. People appreciate it when other people around them are following their dreams. I've never had anyone begrudge the fact that I'm doing what I want to do. They see it as an inspiration. I think you'll get the same response.

I hope to see you on the trail this year! I start May 1 weekend.
