[pct-l] Washington PCT detours/closures

Most every 08 thru-hiker followed the original PCT where it's "closed"
through the Glacier Peak Wilderness. There was one section where
switchbacks were washed out near Milk Creek, but a detour down hill got
around that. Then there was the ford of the Suiattle River where a 2
foot diameter tree had fallen across the stream. I straddled the log
and shinnied across it. Otherwise, it would have been a very dangerous
ford. We'd encountered a number of sobos who'd clued us in to the log.

Earlier in the year the trail had been rerouted near High Bridge Ranger
Station where one catches the bus to Stehekin, but it was open by the
time I got there around Sept 15.
