[pct-l] trekking poles - NOISY = scares away wildlife

My hiking buddy and I both use rubber tips, mine are on Komperdells.  
I've got better than 600 miles on mine.  I prefer them to the 
points...but it makes it is a much greater challenge to play Pine 
Cones.  <g>
