All good advice, except I disagree about not using two pair of socks. I
have tried several times to use just one sock (and good ones at that)
but always go back to two pair. I never get blisters using two socks
(except once because of changing to a different type of shoe). My
current choice is lightweight wool blend inijis under Smartwool. But,
they have to fit and be wrinkle free.
