One more thing...
I've had fun trialing/testing lots of clothing in the shower, when it's new,
worn out, and after renewal with DWR products. (windshirts, shells, gloves,
mitts, hats, etc) In summer/spring/fall you can ask a friend to hose you
down outside too! [better yet, try it when it is cold outside for a real
test!] Remember using cold water is more representative than standing in a
warm shower, both in how it feels to you and how the product responds - when
is the last time you were caught in sustained 90F rain???!!
Great way to compare different clothing options and effectiveness of your
renewal of DWR, etc. Also gives you a good idea how lite water resistant
your windshirt or shell is to lite rain vs. sustained rain vs. heavy rain.
(I have a variable shower head.)
I often taken advantage on cold rainy days at home by just walking down the
street for an hour testing clothing too.
I have no friends.
I have no life.
Obviously!
