[pct-l] New resupply source in Independence

That's cool Monty.  And that's a nice little side hike over to the east side 
over Keasarge Pass.  A forwarning, bear's have been really active there 
around the TH parking breaking into cars and stuff.  Did a real number on a 
Mercedes last time I was up there.  Tore out a side window, windshield and 
wiper vent/grill.  Big mess.   There are food storage boxes at the TH and 
shouldn't be full early season, should someone get up the TH late in the 
evening.
There's also a little county campground just up the road out of town if 
one's not into drop and flop just anywhere along the desert.  I think 
hitching rides there is pretty easy and expected.  I've given a few rides 
myself.  Something about giving rides to thru-hikers in a '71 VW bus just 
seemed right.   It's a lot shorter than humping out Bishop Pass, and I think 
there is an Inyo bus or shuttle that can ride you up to Bishop if you need 
shoes or gear.
