    I carry a pint Nalgene for making coffee and for use as a hot water 
bottle when needed. Place two heaping tablespoons of ground (drip) 
coffee into the Nalgene. Add boiling water. After a couple of minutes 
pour a couple of tablespoons of cold water into the Nalgene. The grounds 
will sink to the bottom. Carefully pour real coffee into your cup. A 
small strainer can be used and you can leave off the cold water part.
