Ice and irregular terrain, we have much of here in coastal Maine.
Stablicers are #1, not just with me, but with other winter travelers. Yak
traks roll off the boot in uneven terrain. I was camping in Acadia last
weekend and Stabilicers saved my butt. They are not part of an ultralight
kit, but do help prevent broken ankles or hips. Mine are four years old
now and still look new.
