It's in downtown Portland, so there will be many other options on
accommodations.

I'm planning to attend PCTA Trail Fest Mar 27&28.

What are the alternatives to staying at the DoubleTree -- motels nearby?

What are the hiking opportunities then up to Tunnel Falls on the Eagle
Creek trail? Is this doable as a day hike from Cascade Locks as a
day-hike? length?

I can probably take one rider comfortably, 2 more unconfortably in the
rear jump seats in my extended cab pickup. I'm driving from Crescent
City, CA up US199 and I5.
