Yeh I got extra shoes and stuff already to be shipped to me just incase...that way not only do I NOT have to wait somewhere for it but I got better deals and didn't have to spend my hiking time waiting for it and searching for the deals online somewhere

If the hikers are on a "squeeky" budget at Agua Dulce.....they won't make it to Canada. Replacing shoes and gear will most likely happen. What are you going to do then?? Food....you should be shipping a resupply box to the places that have no major stores with in walking distance. As you wander up the trail will you be living off hiker boxes or other's donations ? This all comes around to your planning. If you are on your first PCT trip you'd better be self sufficient or you won't make it. This is not a place to go cheap on if you're a newbee !!!! There will be unplanned for costs.
