Any 100-mile section could have snow in March. Laguna's snow is hit and
miss, could be none, could be a lot. Be prepared for cold and wet and with
map and compass.

I did Highway 138 to Walker Pass over weekends between January 1 and March
one year. It was a great time to hike the desert, but cold at night and
there was a fair amount of snow in the Landers Meadow area. Other years
could have more or less snow.

Do what you can to check location conditions before you go, be prepared, and
have escape plans in case it gets to be too much or you just don't want to
do it anymore.
