[pct-l] Anyone from Texas?

Hi all,

I'm a new member of this group, and not a tremendously experienced hiker.
 I'm interested in planning and trying to do the entire PCT in one go
starting in the Spring of 2011 and I figured I can't be too early in trying
to get my act together.

I was wondering if there is anyone from the Dallas/Fort Worth area who has
done the PCT and might be willing to offer up some words of wisdom as far as
planning: logistically, physically, and mentally.

I have already done a fair amount of investigation about the trail itself
the conditions, changes in elevation, general hazards as far as climate,
wildlife, resources, etc. But I'd like to speak to someone who has actually
been through the experience and can offer some advice on the intangibles of
preparing for the whole thing.
