Other aids in curing athletes foot:

1) Merino wool instead of synthetic socks. Wool draws the moisture
into the fabric. Synthetic fibers tend to wick the water on the
surface of the fabric creating a healthier environment for athletes
foot.

2) Try to remove your shoes whenever possible.

3) Alternate between two(or more) pair of socks, allowing the socks to
air out on your pack.

Athletes foot thrives on wet feet. Try to keep your feet dry when/if possible.
As mentioned earlier, walk barefoot. Tough dry skin repels athletes
foot better than soft damp feet.
