[pct-l] Trail around Shower(s) lake

There are 2 trails around Showers Lake...
The 'official' PCT (nobo) drops N (E of the lake) and crosses the lake's outlet and immediately
turns back to the SW and climbs up along the ridge...
The 'old' trail passes above and to the SW of Showers Lake...

> ...it will help settle who was right.

Who was 'right'?
Sorry, but in the grand scheme of hiking 2,650+ miles on a PCT thru, does it REALLY matter???
