According to the East Oregonian this morning (Sunday, August 2), the
Williams Creek fire has spread to nearly 3000 acres.  A 10-mile section of
Hwy. 138(Oregon C & D)  which connects the Umpqua Valley with Diamond Lake
and Crater Lake National Park has been closed since the middle of the week.
