Hi gang,
Trouble is back in town....just got back from another week of skiing in
the Sierra, at Mammoth Mountain.
I don't know about the rest of the Sierra, but Mammoth still has tons of
snow.
Not much has changed except the weather is much warmer...at 9000 feet
the noon day time temp.is in the mid 40 to mid 60 range
and in the 20 range at night....of course much colder at higher elevations.
The average snow fall at Mammoth is 336 inches per season.
This season total is 438 inches so far, with an 80 % chance of more snow
on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The warm weather, however, has reduced the snow pack at Mammoth Mountain
from 12 -16 feet to 9-14 feet over the last 30 days.
