[pct-l] How late can one start the PCT . . . .

25 mile days are not impossible. I was able to hike 25 mile days  
after the Sierras. 20 mile days before the Sierras. 25+ mile days  
were rough on my body though. Probably my downfall. Others, however,  
were able to hike that much and more.

Perhaps it is not important to hike the entire PCT all in one year.  
That is another option most people won't consider. They don't want to  
be considered a section hiker, as if that is somehow not as noble as  
being a thru. I was glad I did not hike the whole PCT in one year. I  
still have more to do. That means I get to go back. Being a long- 
distance hiker bestows the same inner joys and benefits.
