[pct-l] January Start?

First off I've never hiked the PCT before so my knowledge of the trail is
limited. I'm planning a thru-hike in January, but keep hearing that it's
"impossible." A friend and myself have a 7 month window right now, and a
January start is our only option. It's always been my dream to hike the PCT,
and it's likely I'll never get the opportunity again. Just wondering the
challenges would be with starting in January. If it's downright dangerous,
I'll reconsider.
