This doesn't sound quite right to me.  POP3 is for reading email.
SMTP is for *sending* email.

There is a note on their web site that says that their service
doesn't work with 'Exchange-based' email, which is altogether
different than POP3 or SMTP (and is probably why they don't
support it at the moment).

Exchange-based email is more often associated with corporate or
business email systems rather than Internet or web-based email.

Note:  You can use Outlook to read and send email via POP3/SMTP
protocols or to 'Exchange-based' email.  It just depends on how
the software is configured.
