[pct-l] Tehachapi Mountains PCT Route

The agreement is that Tejon will sell the land for the PCT route. Until somebody ponies up the money, it is still private property. So, it you want to hike in 2009, it is a mere matter of getting the money to buy the property....

So, in light of this historic agreement with Tejon Ranch, does this mean that I can LEGALLY set foot there in 2009?  Also, does anyone know the proposed route the Forest Service came up with in the Tehachapi Mountains before giving up due to the private owners opposition and locating the trail below?

Though it probably isn't realistic, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to use an outdated federal topo map and compass and bushwack one's way across next spring without being arrested/shot at?
