[pct-l] re. Hiking Walker Pass

  Years ago when a friend & I were section hiking, we called the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce & got names of several people in town who would provide shuttle service. We left our car at Whitney Portal, got picked up and delivered to trailhead at Walker Pass - then hiked north to Mt. Whitney, and down to our car at the portal.
   
  Not sure if you want to hike this far, but wanted to offer suggestion.
