Amen to that. There are no fires allowed above 10,000 ft. in the Sierras,
and it's plain INSANE to light camp fires in the forests down south. Please
don't, unless you're in a campground that allows them. In the campgrounds
in these parts, they have signs on all the fire pits stating "NO FIRES
ALLOWED."
The fires we've had in recent years have been absolutely devastating. A few
moments comfort of a campfire is not worth the destruction they can (and
have) caused.
