I always wear long pants. I have some extremely light, but tough, long pants
from Sportif (at least 5 or 6 years old) that I wear in summer. In the
desert I think they keep me cooler than shorts. Ever seen an Arab wearing
shorts in their home country?..... ;o)

Subject: [pct-l] pants in the desert???

does anyone wear long pants in the desert? has anyone ever gotten a sunburn
on the back of their legs while hiking in the desert? i know that covering
up from the sun's rays is a good thing in general, I am wondering if it is a
good idea to get some kind of silkweight pants to protect against this....

thank you.....
