I bought a pair to try.  Wore them on a long walk and thought they
were the most comfortable socks I'd ever worn.  Then I took a look at
the bottom of one sock, and it already had a hole worn in it!  Maybe
it was just bad luck.  I think mine were the merino wool ones, can't
recall for sure.
