[pct-l] 20 mile times

I get up around 6:30 and start hiking by 7:30. I would prefer to take Billy Goat's suggestion to get up at first light so that I can take more of the day off when it is hot. I only hike about 2 miles per hour, but I like to hike all day. I hiked 200 miles from Big Bear to the Saufley's in 8 days after the KO and the weather was great. I took one hour for a nap in mid-day, but if the weather would have been hotter I was going to take more than an hour. I hiked until dark because (again with the Billy Goat philosophy) why not hike in the coolness of the day! Teatree hikes 3.5 mph for three hours, then relaxes for 4-5 hours before she puts in more miles.

When I do my thru I want to force myself down to 15 mile days until KM. That means I will start sooner in the year and not plan to get to KM before June 10th-15th.

Ok folks, quick question for you all! First and foremost, hello! Secondly,
if there are some of you who have hiked 20 or more miles in a day; how long
did it take you? What was your age, weight and physical condition at the
time? (well i guess it must be pretty good if you can hit 20 miles in a
day)And also, was there time for you to "stop and smell the roses," (for
example enough time to take a nap) or did you have to blaze through the
trail to save time spent under the sun as opposed to the stars? Any and all
information is appreciated. peace!
