Actually , I have the same schedule as you have, except I am flying into 
Reno - because there is a shuttle that leaves  Reno airport at 11:45 (M, Tu, 
Th, F) and arrives MacDonalds in Mammoth at 4:40 pm (cost is $35).  Seems 
like an easier connection than from LAX.  Call1-800-922-1930 if you want 
more information.  You may have to make reservations.
