I was camping with a group up in the Trinity Alps region (Lower Canyon  
Lake) and while we were eating dinner a deer came into our camp and  
started picking away at various pieces of clothing people had out.  
This thing was fearless; one of our group walked right up to it and it  
only wandered off when he got within about 8 feet. If you're in that  
region, watch your clothes and your pack.
