here are some additional rainfall totals from this past week, this time west of Cajon Pass:

The exeption to the high rainfall pattern so far this season seems to be the lowest elevations by Bakersfield, where they are around 50% of normal.  Typically, they are heavily rainshadowed anyway, but this year the contrast with the surrounding area is particularly large.   But everywhere else seems to be at or significantly above normal.
