Thanks Scott.  I'm guessing then that a Mylar space blanket would be thick enough to keep the heat reflected?

Silver mylar.

If there is a theatrical supply or display supply near you, they should
be able to sell you a piece that will fit your umbrella. Mylar comes in
different thicknesses. What they have may be too thick. You could try
cutting up a mylar space blanket.

It is not self adhesive.
