Good to hear from you.  I seem to recall you have first-hand experience with the single-entry vs. multiple entry VISA issue you speak of.  Isn't this the reason you turned around at Manning and walked back into the US via the PCT to Hart's Pass after you completed your thru-hike in 2006?
