[pct-l] Constructive suggestions about the ADZ...

Sorry to lengthen the discussion further, but just a couple suggestions...

Maybe it would be possible to move the kickoff to the very end of the thru-hiking window, say around May 18th? Surely most of the thru-hikers
would be at various places on the trail by that time, ensuring that 90% of them will utilze the ride-back system. In addition, probably more
thru-hikers would be able to come (including those living far away and wanting to start later than the current kick-off. Myself included --
I plan on leaving early/mid May and I'm not going to make two trips to southern california.)

I suppose it would also be possible to move the date to some absurdly early starting date, like April 1, but that wouldn't be as useful.

Anyway, I think a one-year experiment -- either moving it in time or space, or cancelling it altogether -- would be constructive. It's easy
for each side to theoretically guess about the effects of the kick-off, but performing such an experiment would give much more solid evidence
about the kickoff's effects, or lack of them.

Scientifically yours,
Evan
