[pct-l] Snow in southern section?

AND Just heard Hwy 79 (crosses the PCT at Warner Springs) is closed due to an accident.

Snow is real heavy on all the oak branches. They're breaking everywhere.

Knocked out power lines between me and my neighbors and the power pole's standing at 45 degrees.

My carport was just smashed beyond repair.

The biggest Oaks in this area are right over my head right now full of heavy snow and nothing but a flimsey roof between us.

Predicted gusts up to 45 mph tonight according to NOAA

Maybe I'll get a new roof out of the deal.

What does this mean to the PCT?

Just like two years ago March, there's going to be downfalls from the north end of San Felipe up to Lost Valley Spring and that's just my immediate area. I don't know about Mt Laguna.

  More from another source:

Highway 78 closed from Ramona to Scissors Crossing.

Highway 76 closed Valley Center to Lake Henshaw.

  Snow covering ground in Ranchita.

  Snowing in Ramona.

Cars stuck in snow at Mesa Grande - setting up command posts for exposure victims.

Heavy snow at Lake Henshaw falling trees across Highway 76.

Just when you think it was springtime, nature pulls a fast one. But, we sure need the rain down here.

  Be careful out there.

  Snow update

Just drove home. Lake Henshaw/Warner Springs I can't get the final 250 yards uphill to my place due to slippery snow on the driveway.

Thunder/Snowstorm. Almost 2" snow already on the ground. We're putting a new roof on a section of my home right now. Opps.

PS We had a snowstorm in the Lagunas last April 20th.
