Ugg, that is not good news. I hate mosquitos. Would
the Sky lakes area be better in September or October?

I take it that the hike from Fish lake would be
acceptable during June? At the moment, our plans are
completely flexible so we could schedule the trip in
the fall if you feel that it is worth waiting for. My
friend only gets one shot at the PCT this year;
whereas, I get to hike it whenever I want. Which
section would you recommend if you were looking to
impress your friend and make him jealous? After all,
that is what it is all about - make him love it so
much that he moves here :)

If possible, i would like to stay somewhat near to
Ashland so that we can spend more time hiking and less
time driving.
