Okay, Arkansas loves SNAKES! Therefore it is "against the law" to kill any
snake unless it is a life threatening encounter...(yours - not the snake's)
So, the use of sulfur powder - just the slightest little sprinkle is
repulsive to snakes and works great. Very cheap as well. As for mosquitos
and no seeums, a sheet of Snuggle fabric softener tied on your hat works
wonders for the flying monsters here in the Ouachitas, might work on the PCT
as well. Vanilla abstract (the real stuff) put on the Snuggle gives added
benefits. A few drops of vanilla abstract on your clothes, gloves or
whatever seems to put up a barrier few bugs like to cross. Haven't tried it
with bees though. Maybe someone will let us know about the bees!
