The only one you absolutely, positively have to tip is  ''SWITCHBACK''  
aka  ''The Trail Pirate.''
If you don't, he will plunder you, take all your food & gear and leave 
you stranded with nothing but your underwear.
I hope this answers your question.
BTW....I suggest you wear ''boxer type'' shorts instead of  ''speedos'' 
just in case you run out of tips.
