Unsupported Reinhold writes: At age 68 I am getting to old for this
extreme stuff. After left shoulder operation in 2006, right shoulder in 2007, and
knee
surgery in 2008, I am no longer the hiker I was in 2004. Seems like things
break down easier as one gets older. Old age (the golden years) is not what
it is cracked up to be....avoid it at all cost, if possible. But you,
Switchback, are still young and robust and with the hiker cart you could shatter
Michael's unsupported JMT record
and bring it back to the backpacker family, where it belongs.

Switchback replies: Yes, I am a young whippersnapper at 62 (in January).
Let's see if you added both our ages together that would be 130 years. That is
equal to about 6 normal hardcore hiker trash backpackers. That should make
you feel reeeeeal good. :-(
I have a secret for changing time and going backwards. It is my secret and
I am not telling anyone. I will let you know at the April Kickoff. I will
be at the Pirate's Lair and HQ for the Pirate Brigade at site #22 (if they let
me in again to the Kickoff).
I think I will set up my Reactor stove and have free popcorn for everyone.
Genuine backpacker popcorn from a backpacker stove. This is another new
first. Once again, Switchback comes through for everyone with inventive service
ideas.
