I wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded to my question
regarding Trail Fitness.  Good stuff all of it!

After weighing my backpack and sleeping bag (circa 1980) I realize it's
time to join the modern age.  Perhaps replace my cast iron cookware as
well.

What, hiking in anything other than a pair of steel shanked Norwegian
leathered 6lb boots?  sacrilege.  Crazy young'uns......
