Hi,

My long distance hiking to date has been on the Bibbulmun Track
in Western Australia:

http://www.bibbulmuntrack.org.au/track-info/Overview-Map.aspx

I have completed the Track from Kalamunda to Northcliffe, and
some of the area around Walpole has been hiked. Total mileage
is around 425 (of about 600 total).

If you would like to know more about this track, I would be
glad to describe how a walk on it works.

I just returned from the second trip a few days ago and find
it is difficult to adjust back to life in the city (Palo Alto,
CA). So I'm on the hunt for trails in the U.S. that offer a
multi-night hike and that are local; so far the only candidate
is the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail.

I knew about the PCT, the AT, and a couple of others, but was
focused on Australia. When I returned a friend lent me the
book Cactus Eaters by White, which has kindled an interest in
the PCT. So here I am, interested in knowing more about the
PCT. Supply points/techniques are at the top of my list right
now.

Regards,

Rod Miller (aka Sticks, my Aussie nickname)
