[pct-l] Thru hiking alone or with somebody else?

Sean, everything you wondered about how folks hike the trail pretty much you answered already... Solo hikers hook up in week one, change partners for a week or do. Get to the Sierras and team up til Tahoe. I would say the majority of hikers team up if thats what they want or need to do, others who want to be alone can do so.....
It comes down to finding a like minded person or group who matches your pace. I think thats more inportant then finding a friend from home who slows you down or makes you run the trail. You may find a new "best" friend by the time you do 700 miles,
