[pct-l] Do we need a FAQ document?

Perhaps, but who would maintain it? Information tends to go out of date 
rather quickly.

Three years ago, about half of thru hikers did not carry a bear canister 
in the Sierras. Now almost all do. Two years ago an Ursack was one of 
your options.

Two years ago if you wanted a ride to the souther terminus, you called 
Bob Reise.

Last year anyone could stay at Hiker Heaven as long as they wanted to.

Two years ago you could send a resupply package to the Summit Lodge at 
Snoqualmie pass, if you made a room reservation at the same time.

Next year the guidebooks and data book may not be considered essential.

Trail angels come and go. Resupply points come and go. New equipment is 
created. Every year some of the answers in the FAQ will change.

Is it better to have a FAQ, or to let the same questions be asked year 
after year, so prospective hikers will get current information?
