New record?? No way, no one keeps records, but if one did, then Monte Dodge holds the all time fastest hike record of the PCT;? in 1977, Monte hiked the entire trail from Nth to Sth in 5 days, 6 hours, 13 minutes and 41.5 seconds in order to begin his Sth to Nth thru-hike.? This has been unknown up til now and all of the old guard have been sworn to secrecy.? 

The cat is out of the bag!? 

Records, hah!? I rather enjoy the scenery.
