[pct-l] Help with trekking poles

Last year I had a request from Bob Riess to pick up loaner gear from a hiker
hiking into Warner Springs and return it to Bob. A hiker lost his luggage.
Check the new PCTA Communicator (Comes with membership at reduced price to
thru-hikers, I think, hint)
for the story written by Scout, class of 2007, about Bob Riess. There's a
story inside that story about a thru-hiker loosing his gear on the airlines
and Bob helping set him up to hike anyway.
"Out of Order" (fitting at this moment) was the name given to that hiker.
He wore a button saying Out of Order when I met him up north.

In 2005 I ran back out to a small commuter flight and asked them to find a
missing trekking pole.
"It wasn't there." But two minutes later they brought it to me. Only one
tarp pole would have been alkward.
