You know they're actually all made by the same
company, but they make some of them bad so you're more
likely to cooperate with the good ones.

You  might try the Fox River Xstatic.  Not too
expensive but they've held up well for me. 
polypro/nylon blend.  I'm getting a couple pair of the
Injinji for especially "high-blister-danger" areas,
like the 100 degree desert 25 miler days and the very
first week, but generally going with cheaper longer
lasting ones other than that.
