i carried a 3-liter platypus for about 1500 miles before it sprung a 
leak, and i certainly didn't handle it with kid gloves. i replaced it 
with a 3-liter camelback (only because they didn't have platy's at the 
gear shop in quincy), and that's still going strong after approx 1200 
miles. i like both, but prefer the platypus because it's lighter.
