Good point.  I should have said she left her gear at home, which is 2000 miles from the PCT.  Us Canadians tend to be pretty good with snow, but we also don't tackle the cold wearing running shoes and a rain suit.;-)  I also wouldn't fancy sleeping under an open-air tarp with no insulation at 15*F.  Brrr!

My sister, Not-a-moose, along with Zen Quake and a few others have chosen to take the route around Ross Laketo Canada instead of the PCT, and then hitch into Manning Park on the Canadian side.  They expect to arrive Monday or Tuesday.

She decided against the PCT route because she didn't have winter gear.
