[pct-l] Lye

I seem to remember a few years back that some hikers had issues when
traveling through burn areas; the wood ash clung to their sweaty legs, and
began to cause some terrible skin irritations (water and wood ash make lye).


 

With all of the burn areas, I was wondering if anyone has any experience or
knowledge about this topic.
